DIY Alphabet

Brief -
Create your own complete alphabet including numerals (0-9) and key punctuation (.,!?&()”-) Watch the DIY Alphabet pdf presentations again; this proves that creating an alphabet – a typeface – can be inspired by all sorts of things, from the ridiculous, the common place to the unusual. What could make up the body/content and the theme for your 26 letters? Are they all in upper or in lower case? Do they have serifs? Importantly, they must all look as though they belong together so a common theme must be applied.

Final typeface
I decided to focus on my bone font as it brought forth the challenge of creating a typeface using organic shapes. I didn't want to resort to using singular arm or leg bones for the majority of the type, I looked into old medical books to find other elements and bones in the body, such as the pelvis and shoulder blade to help create the more rounded letters and numbers.
